Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Global Friends iOS application ("the App"), published by Vagabonder ("we", "us", "our"), operating from Belgium. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the App if you live in the European Union, or at least 13 years old elsewhere. If you are under the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the App with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

2. License to use the App

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on Apple devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use.

The App is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement , which applies to your installation and use through the App Store.

3. Subscriptions and payments

The App offers optional paid subscriptions ("Pro") that unlock additional features, including saving more than 50 friends. Subscription plans, pricing, and any introductory offer are presented inside the App and managed by Apple through StoreKit.

Plan types

• Annual: an auto-renewing annual subscription, US $9.99 per year, with an eligible first year at US $4.99 paid upfront;
• Lifetime: a one-time, non-consumable purchase at US $34.99.

Existing weekly subscriptions remain supported. New weekly subscriptions are not offered in the App. Availability, offer eligibility, and prices vary by region, currency, and applicable taxes. The App Store purchase sheet shows the authoritative terms and final local price before you confirm a purchase.

Auto-renewal

Auto-renewing subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your Apple Account will be charged for the renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions any time in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your Apple device.

Introductory offer and free limit

The first-year annual offer is paid upfront, not a free trial. Apple determines eligibility and shows the offer and renewal price before purchase. After the first year, the subscription renews at the displayed regular annual price unless cancelled.

The free App lets you save up to 50 friends. If Pro expires, saved friends remain available. You cannot add new friends while at or above the free limit until you upgrade or reduce your saved count.

Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with the App Store's refund policy. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. If you are an EU consumer, you retain any mandatory withdrawal or refund rights granted by EU consumer-protection law.

4. iCloud and data storage

The App uses your personal iCloud account to sync your friends, addresses, and related data across your Apple devices. You retain full ownership and control of this data. We do not operate any server that stores your friend network; sync happens entirely between your devices and your iCloud private database.

If you are not signed into iCloud, the App falls back to local-only storage on the device you are using. Some sync-dependent features will not be available in that case.

Optional product analytics is described in the Privacy Policy. It is off until you explicitly allow it, is not required to use the App, and does not include your friend content, Contacts contents, or location.

5. Your content

You are responsible for the information you add to the App (friends' names, addresses, notes, interactions, photos). You confirm that you have any necessary permissions to store this information. Because this content lives in your iCloud private database (or locally on your device), we do not access, view, or moderate it. Optional product analytics does not include this content.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the App, except as permitted by mandatory law;
• Use the App to harass, stalk, threaten, or otherwise harm any person;
• Use the App to violate the privacy of any individual, including by storing or sharing information about people without a lawful basis;
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the App or its features;
• Bypass, disable, or interfere with security or authentication features.

7. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your devices. Deleting the App does not itself cancel an active subscription; subscriptions must be managed through your Apple Account. Access to paid features may end when a subscription expires or when Apple refunds or revokes a transaction.

8. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties — express or implied — including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Nothing in these Terms limits any statutory rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded under applicable law (including EU consumer-protection law).

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to the App or these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the App in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) EUR 50.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Nothing in this clause limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or gross negligence.

10. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Belgium, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of Belgium have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of these Terms, except that, if you are an EU consumer, you may bring proceedings in the courts of the EU member state in which you reside, and you retain the protection of any mandatory consumer-protection rules of that state.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced through the App or via a notice on this page. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
